The Wack Side Of Snowboarding

I am not a fan of the FIS or organized snowboarding for the most part, hockey moms and dads in the snowboard park or at the bottom of the pipe talking about points and execution is fucked up. I understand the doors competing can open for young people. Its when you see shit like this I question why some many people are trying to bring snowboarding to the masses when the masses just don't get it. This is a photo of the Executive Board Meeting of the the 2009 FIS Snowboard World Championships, looks like a "core" bunch of suits. On a another note, our girl Sarah Conrad is over in Korea to compete at this stop of the FIS tour, too bad she had to give up her spot at the X Games because she has to compete in a certain amount of FIS events and land her runs 60% of the time to keep her spot on the Canadian team.
